Who we are

nostalgia & intimacy

This project was born first and foremost out of the urge to make music together. On the other hand, there is Isabelle's passion for art song, that has shaped the project significantly. As a percussion player, Veysel deals mainly with modern and contemporary repertoire and so he was eager to dive into the world of lyricism and the music of the 18th and 19th centuries.

Our project aims to facilitate the presence of art song in several ways: the intimacy and delicacy of percussion instruments such as the marimba invites the listener to a focused and attentive experience while simultaneously refreshing the ears of those who are all too familiar with the repertoire. Joining forces as a singer and percussion player, we further hope to invite new audiences, as we program German, Italian and French art song alongside music of the recent past that explores the idiosyncratic features of the instruments themselves.
